weekend kick-off worship

Last Sunday we had our first monthly Chisomo-worship. It is always exciting, as each new group, brings the gifts of individual students. Since there are classical contributions, such as the chorus of the women's circle, depending on group size stronger or fails miserably. This year it seems again to give students a great chorus, and three students were shining (or wanted to) personal contributions: a presentation of a single song, a kind of poem and one has actually submitted the entire first chapter of James from the NT - by heart! Gross output, for he had only two or three small mistakes.

In the sermon, I tried the grace (Chichewa: Chisomo) to make God big. There is a general misconception in (probably most) Malawian churches that someone who sins, not a child of God. But then who is a child of God? Only he who lives by the grace and daily forgiveness takes a! In other words, who "in sanctification" lives. That Christianity is, as is live before God by grace in Jesus justified man in their daily lives, which has many students, no one said.

Missionaries We very much hope, can see that by learning and living on Chisomo our students and practice to live by God's grace and the miracle of holiness take claim for themselves.

A NEW AUTUMN

Hello, dear people around the hoard Creacoolix!

A "new Autumn" because this year's service year will begin with an important change. My humble self being challenged on the stage;) - in fact, on 11 October in the waiting - and a new personality takes on her work. Alexandra Wimmer is my successor in the office of leadership. She comes originally from Kuchl, Salzburg, Innsbruck and here but lives in education has also studied. Alexandra is also a kindergarten and after-school teacher and brings valuable experience already. We are very glad to have found her, for she is a very open, lively and bright Woman and determined she will not only be the stronghold (the children, the team), but all those who deal with child care in Aldrans, enrich and bring much good. Just needs an energetic and positive force there for the new "House of the Child, set to open in fall 2011 and brings his old group and cross-sectoral approach so many challenges.

this time I myself have a page designed for Yoke. She had the theme "Bridge". As I thought about a picture that I had worked as a paper cut many years ago for my children. I then designed the Bremen Town Musicians in 45 silhouette images. march on one of these pictures the first three animals over a bridge. This picture was taken as a motive for Yokes page and then stitched into it. I hope she likes it.

... are we always welcome and accepted but not all. Just a few days but wanted to actually use this silly hen our Gästeklo, or lie down somewhere an egg. Under much cackling, we have sent them out again - sent more or less.

are, however, grade two real guests for a few days with us: Christine and Elisa from Stetten (at Schwaigern), "old" friends from the time the SWD-EC in Heilbronn district association. They are in transit from South Africa her "just passed". So what is always nice: remember the old times, strengthen relationships and refreshed, eat delicious together ...

It's always a pleasure for us to see, how many nice friends (not only from the EC), held over the past years all contact with us and in us various ways to support our work here in Malawi.

Woolite Used He Machine

14 students arrived!

Now we go again: a new school year in Chisomo. This time but for Malawians: church leaders and staff of our partner church, the "Evangelical Baptist Church of Malawi."

On Monday we took two cars to Liwonde, where the headquarters of the Church. There all the invited candidates were appointed, so that they can then take with us to Chisomo. And this year it was long before once again that we do not have enough room for everyone in our car and drive so had three of the minibus (= public transport system) had.

This is awesome: Now 14 students are already here four already with family. In the last two years we had relatively low volumes, so we look forward very excited about the date arrived. One or two candidates are still "in transit", ie, they may still arrive here during the week. And in January, another student will come to the last year had to interrupt his training after the first trimester.


Yesterday we went to a detailed introduction like the real thing: Field work. This is so organized, so be prepared for a school field in time, but on the other hand, the group will quickly because the end of the first week the class representatives are elected. Dust, Work and a lot of gossip is guaranteed a good knowledge and the different characters are easily visible.

Thanks for your prayers for "our boys", for their good settling in and a good start of the teaching from next Monday.
